The History of Southern LP Gas

Our founders, Eddie and Lou Gray of De Queen, AR started out in 1946 as a wholesale supplier of propane known as Grays Petroleum, which would later become Southern LP Gas. With the vision of providing unsurpassed customer service, the Gray’s mottos were “The customer always comes first,” “Take the time to listen,” “Take care of your customers’ needs in a friendly and caring manner and they’ll take care of you.” Through the trust and loyalty of our customers and the hard work and dedication of our family of employees, we’ve upheld the Gray’s vision and values over the years, which has allowed our company to succeed in business and officially become one of the largest propane service providers in the nation.
