Jämtkraft is an energy group based in Jämtland but with a market far larger than that. The company is owned by the municipalities of Åre, Krokom and Östersund. It characterizes the company in such a way that it should not only make a profit but also contribute to the benefit of society. For us, societal benefits mean that we try to think long-term and sustainably, for many. It is about sustainable and climate-smart living, but also about sustainable and long-term business. We must be a driving force for the society in which we operate and contribute to a good life for all its inhabitants. But we think bigger than that. Jämtkraft will deliver energy that makes life better. For us, it means renewable energy and smart energy solutions that build the sustainable society. We get our primordial power from sun, wind, water and forest. In Jämtland there is plenty of rich forests, fresh winds and flowing water. And the sun shines here too at our latitudes. The most important force, however, is our own energy.
