GRTgaz

GRTgaz builds, maintains and develops 85% of the high pressure natural gas transmission network in France. A public service company, GRTgaz ensures the proper functioning of the gas system under the best conditions of safety, cost and reliability. Connected to adjacent European networks and to LNG terminals in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, the natural gas transmission network must be operational whatever the weather conditions. With 32,500 km of gas pipelines and 26 compressor stations, GRTgaz thus ensures the delivery of the gas entrusted to it by its customers (shippers), to 4,475 delivery stations: - industrial sites and power generation plants in gas directly connected to the transport network; - public distribution networks for the supply of individuals, communities and businesses. The transport of natural gas by underground pipelines is a safe, discreet and economical means of transporting large quantities of energy while preserving the activity of the territories, the landscapes and the biodiversity.
