CDL Electric Company, Inc.

CDL began in 1964, as S&S Electric, providing electrical services for residents and businesses around Pittsburg, Kansas. We’re now one of the area’s fastest growing companies. Staff has expanded from 65 to over 460 in the last three years. We now have 6 offices across the Midwest. CDL operates in over 35 States and serving over 40,000 customers. 

Our Story

It began in 1964, as S&S Electric, providing electrical services for residents and businesses around Pittsburg, Kansas. By the time we changed our name to CDL Electric in 1996, we were also maintaining signals and providing electrical services for companies in the short line railroad business.  In the 2000’s, our expansion included services such as Plumbing, HVAC, Security, Signs, Sirens, High Voltage, Directional Boring, Fabrication and many other services. We now offer over 12 distinct services, to all of our customers across the United States.   We have the privilege of serving over 40,000 customers across 35 states. In the last three years, we have been fortunate to see a 75% growth rate, year after year. Although we continue to grow, we always stand by our core values. We believe that our services should provide value to all of our customers.
