SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The latest data published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) indicates that the U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports recorded decline during the week ending 10th April, as compared with the week before.

As per EIA data, a total of 22 LNG carriers departed the U.S. plants during the one-week period between 4th and 10th April. This is down by 3 carriers, upon comparison with 25 carriers that departed the plants during the week prior to it. The total capacity of these 22 carriers was estimated at around 75 Bcf, according to shipping data provided by various agencies.

The natural gas deliveries to U.S. terminals surged higher during the week. The natural gas deliveries averaged at 12.6 Bcf/d during the week, marginally higher by 1.2% over the previous week.

According to the agency, natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Texas increased 6.8% to 3 Bcf/d. Also, deliveries to terminals outside the Gulf Coast soared by 2.3% to 1.3 Bcf/d. On the other hand, deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana registered a decline by 0.9% to total 8.3 Bcf/d.

The Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped the largest number of cargoes, sending eight cargoes.

EIA foresees 2% surge in US LNG exports in 2024, followed by 18% jump in 2025 on account of a series of new LNG terminals coming online.
