Tourmaline earned a Grade ‘A’ rating for methane management, marking several industry firsts. The certification provides independently verified reporting of methane emissions across Tourmaline’s full onshore value chain, including production, gathering, boosting, and gas processing. The designation covers approximately 1.6 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of Grade ‘A’ natural gas. A combination of advanced methane monitoring technologies was deployed to ensure accurate measurement across large-scale operations, even under challenging Canadian weather conditions.
MiQ CEO Georges Tijbosch called the certification a milestone for the Canadian gas sector. Tourmaline CEO Michael Rose said the achievement reinforces the company’s environmental leadership and Canada’s position as a reliable global energy supplier.
