The Sharjah-headquartered company announced that a newly drilled well in Egypt's Nile Delta yielded an estimated 10 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas. The estimates surpass the original forecast of 3 Bcf. The discovery has opened additional development opportunities within the concession area.
Dana Gas, in cooperation with Egyptian energy authorities, has been executing a $100 million investment program focused on its Egyptian assets. The company reported a production of 13,060 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the first quarter of 2026, marking a 4% jump over the corresponding period a year before.
The increased production during the quarter is the result of a successful 2025 drilling campaign that added 36 Bcf of reserves and 30 MMscf/d of production capacity, the company authorities noted.
Incidentally, Dana Gas plans to drill four additional wells before the end of 2026.
