MONTREAL (Oil Monster): ExxonMobil has awarded $1.1 billion in contracts for key equipment and engineering work for the Rovuma LNG project in Mozambique. This marks another major step toward the development of the country’s large natural gas resources. ExxonMobil noted that the agreements will allow suppliers to begin working on the equipment.
The contracts cover subsea production equipment, large production valves and offshore pipeline materials for the project’s first phase. The contracts were awarded by ExxonMobil Moçambique on behalf of the Area 4 partners, including ENH, CNPC, Eni, KOGAS and ADNOC’s XRG.
