Baker Hughes Inaugurated Joint Venture Oilfield and Industrial Chemicals Facility

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The leading energy technological company, Baker Hughes, in partnership with Saudi Arabian Dussur has inaugurated a joint venture chemicals manufacturing facility. The facility, known as the Saudi Petrolite Chemicals facility, is intended to provide oilfield and industrial chemicals within the country.

The inauguration ceremony of the Jubail facility was attended among others by HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Energy; His Excellency Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment; and His Excellency Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry & Mineral Resources.

The new facility will boost the country’s base targets of raw materials like solvents and glycols. Furthermore, it will accelerate the development of manufacturing skills and capabilities of the local workforce. It is built in line with Baker Hughes’ strategy to source and produce chemicals near to areas of high demand.

The inauguration of the Saudi Petrolite Chemicals facility, spanning approximately 90,000 square metres, marks another important milestone in the Kingdom’s remarkable journey of economic and industrial growth, noted Lorenzo Simonelli, chairman and CEO, Baker Hughes.
