Enterprise to Build New Natural Gas Processing Plant in the Permian Basin

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Enterprise Products Partners L.P. will build a new natural gas processing plant in the Delaware Basin, U S., thereby significantly expanding its natural gas processing capabilities in the Permian Basin.

The proposed Mentone West 2 plant will be located in Loving County, Texas. It will have an annual processing capacity of more than 300 million cubic feet per day of natural gas. Also, the plant will extract nearly 40, 000 bpd of natural gas liquids (NGL). The plant is expected to commence operations in 2026.

Elsewhere in the region, the company’s Mentone 3 natural gas processing plant has already begun service. This plant too has an annual capacity to process more than 300 million cubic feet per day of natural gas and extract around 40, 000 bpd of NGL. It must be noted that the construction of the Mentone West 1 plant is on schedule so as to begin service by H2 next year.

The completion of all the above mentioned projects will raise the company’s natural gas processing capacity to more than 2.8 billion cubic feet per day and extraction capacity to over 370,000 bpd of NGLs in the Delaware Basin.

A.J. Teague, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise’s General Partner noted that the expansion of its natural gas processing network in the world’s most prolific energy basin will push the domestic NGL production from the Permian Basin region.
