SEATTLE (Oil Monster): OMV Petron has awarded contracts worth more than $10 million to leading energy services provider Expro for the development of the Neptun Deep gas project in the Black Sea of Romania.
It is anticipated that these agreements will increase the company's visibility in Romania. The contracts are expected to provide a substantial contribution to Romania's energy security in addition to reaffirming its dedication to the country's energy sector. The contracts will be crucial in assisting the nation in lessening its reliance on gas imports.
As per the deal, Expro will support drilling operations by providing Coretrax Advance drilling equipment, tubular running services, SeaCure cementing systems, and subsea landing string (SLS) technology.
The Romanian Black Sea's deep depths are home to the Neptun Deep Gas project. It is considered to be one of the biggest offshore energy projects in Southeastern Europe and the biggest natural gas project in Romania. OMV Petron and Romgaz work together to operate the project.
By providing creative and effective energy solutions, the new contracts will enable Expro to continue its strategic expansion in Eastern Europe, according to Andrei Ion, Senior Area Manager for Expro in Europe, Meditteranian, and Caspian.
