In the first five months of this year, the total amount of Russian gas supplied to Europe through TurkStream was estimated to be approximately 7.2 billion cubic meters (bcm). Compared to shipments of 6.6 bcm over the same five-month period in 2024, this is greater.

Turkstream is a 930-kilometer underwater pipeline that connects the Russian vacation city of Anapa to Kiyikoy in northwest Turkiye. Overground pipelines connect these two locations to western Europe. It is projected that the Turkstream pipeline has an annual capacity of around 31.5 billion cubic meters.
