Natural Gas Line at Toledo Refinery in Oregon Prompts Evacuation

SEATTLE (Oil Monster):  Oregon police and fire dispatch tells 13abc crews are battling what was originally believed to be a fire in a railcar near the Toledo Refinery.

Dispatch says around 8:30, two explosions were heard in the area around the Refinery and Pickle Rd.

Oregon Police Chief Mike Navarre says crews now believe two small explosions along a natural gas line may have sparked the fire on the property of the Toledo Refinery.

Police have closed a small section of Pickle Rd from Woodville Rd to Wheeling and tell us a few homes have been evacuated.

No word on what caused the explosion.
