Oil Refiners Hailed Massive Investments in Refining and Distribution Infrastructure

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The African Refiners and Distributors Association (ARDA) commended investments by indigenous Nigerians in in the country’s oil and gas sector. This has led to significant boost to local refining and distribution of petroleum products, it said. Specifically, it applauded the efforts of Rainoil Limited, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Dangote Group and Sahara Group among others.

The token of appreciation came during the recent visit by Marieme Ndoye Decraene, President, ARDA and Mr. Anibor Kragha, Executive Secretary to the facilities operated by various companies. They appreciated the efforts of Nigerian locals in building such facilities. Also, Rainoli’s efforts to boost utilisation of LNG received special mention. The visit was aimed at gathering more details on the massive Nigerian projects.

ARDA committed to its leadership role in helping the country transition to cleaner fuels, so as to minimize health challenges. Furthermore, it reiterated its pledge to develop an integrated energy self-sufficiency plan for the region, by which African crude oil is processed into cleaner petroleum products in domestic refineries, which in turn are distributed via African pipelines.
