Anticipated new pipeline projects during the following year are the basis for the anticipated expansion.

The company announced that it has successfully commissioned the Central Rich and Lean Gas project, while also highlighting the accomplishments of the first half of this year. The 177-kilometer pipeline in the south of the nation, which was built to increase supply to the Dhofar Governorate, was another significant development. Additionally, a 17-kilometer pipeline was put into service to feed gas to the Duqm Special Economic Zone.

A series of new projects are expected to contribute to OQGN’s network expansion. This includes a 42-inch, 193 km pipeline from Fahud to Suhar, aimed at boosting gas supply to the industrial hub in Suhar. Additionally, it will support the low-carbon LNG terminal promoted by TotalEnergies, which is currently under construction at SOHAR Port and Freezone. A separate line from Fahud will also serve the emerging industrial hub in Ibri.
