Texas Oil Regulator Revealed Preliminary Oil and Natural Gas Production Figures

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) announced latest preliminary crude oil and natural gas production figures.

According to the statement released by the oil regulator, the total volume of crude oil in Texas stood at 121.303 million barrels in May this year. The preliminary reported volume of natural gas during the same month was 1.04 trillion cubic feet. This compares with preliminary reported total oil volume of 119,144,564 barrels and reported total natural gas volume of 907.4 billion cubic feet. Also, Texas reported a total of 159,047 oil wells and 83,808 gas wells.

RRC highlighted that the reported crude oil production includes oil produced from oil leases only and does not include condensate. The preliminary figures are based on production volumes reported by operators and that it is subject to revision upon receipt of corrected production reports.

The report said that Martin emerged as the leading county with the highest preliminary crude oil production figure of 20,553,614 barrels. In second place was Midland with 17,459,325 barrels, followed by Uptown and Loving with 8,649,677 barrels and 7,696,320 barrels respectively.

The highest preliminary natural gas production figure of 91.9 billion cubic feet was reported by Reeves.
