U.S. Crude Production Hit New Monthly Record in September

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The latest data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) indicates that the country’s crude oil production hit a new monthly record during the month of September this year. The monthly production totalled 13.24 million barrels per day (bpd). The North Dakota region reported large increase in monthly production

As per data, crude output recorded surge by 1.7%, which is the largest increase since March this year. The North Dakota crude production rose significantly by 6.5% to 1.3 million bpd in September. This is the highest production by the region since March 2020. It must be noted that the crude output in the Bakken shale has been on the rise since the beginning of the current year.

Elsewhere, Texas crude production registered marginal decline by 0.1% to 5.57 million bpd. The state recorded first dip in production since April 2023. On the contrary, the output by New Mexico rose by 1.1% to 1.82 million bpd, the highest level since April, said EIA production report.

The gross natural gas production in the U.S Lower 48 States dropped from a record 116.4 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in August to 116.3 bcfd in September.
