SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Entergy Corporation declared that it has successfully sold its natural gas distribution division to Delta Utilities, a company based in New Orleans. Consequently, Entergy will now be in complete control of Delta Utilities' daily service and gas distribution operations.
The company's continued plan to concentrate on its expanding electric utility sector is consistent with the selling transaction. By the way, Entergy Louisiana and Entergy New Orleans serve about 1.1 million and 209,000 consumers, respectively, with electricity.
