Founded in 2009, Junifer Systems is a privately owned business created by an experienced team with a proven track record in building successful technology businesses.

The Junifer Systems team has utilised their strong background in the complex Telecoms billing sector to provide highly efficient, flexible and cost effective back-office solutions for the utilities and telco markets.

Junifer is focused on developing the critical software applications to power the new “Smart World” where large volumes, innovative products/pricing and customer satisfaction will become the operational focus for utility operators.  With the momentum resulting from the nationwide and international rollout of Smart Meters, utility operators must seek to adapt their operational stack to take advantage of the rich information delivered by the next-generation meters.  The Junifer Product Suite is designed to take automatic readings from disparate meters to provide end customers with accurate, usage-based bills that correctly reflect the energy consumption within the household or business, in a timely manner.

For the modern Telco providing wholesale interconnect voice and data services, Junifer provides best-in-breed products to support both current and next generation requirements.  The in-depth business and technology experience of the Junifer team is reflected in its technology product suite, which provides the operator with genuine competitive advantage and a solid platform for launching new products and services.

Software as a Service (SaaS)

Junifer Systems offers a “lite” version of the flagship Junifer Utilities CIS product using the Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model and thereby providing market entrants with an attractive alternative to costly hardware, software implementations and staffing costs.

The service can be considered as a “boxed” software solution that involves minimal customisation and for the avoidance of doubt includes invoicing, payment processing (which allows support for external collection systems such as Direct Debits) and support for dataflow interfaces.  As with the flagship product the breadth of functionality, scalability, flexibility and ease of use of the system ensures that energy suppliers can be confident that the billing system will be an enabler for their business as they develop new services and products for ever more demanding consumers. The Junifer system automates many previously manual, intensive processes whilst also providing system checks and alerts for issues that would normally require timely resolution.

Consultancy

Two key fundamentals underpinning Junifer Systems' enviable delivery success and customer satisfaction are its people and commitment to providing high quality systems integration and training services.

All Junifer consultants are highly technical with business domain knowledge and operational billing experience.  This skill set not only ensures that business requirements are understood and met in short timeframes, but also enables our consultants to add valuable input to best business practices relating to operations surrounding our software.

Consultants work closely with customers to plan, implement and deploy the solution.  They advise on data migration, interfaces to third party systems, configuration, business processes and general management of the Junifer product suite.

Training is another key part of any implementation project.  To aid in knowledge transfer Junifer is able to provide on-site, bespoke end-user training and/or “train the trainer” training.  Training sessions address both the Junifer front office (customer services) and back office (administration).

Training is supplemented by an online web portal providing readily accessible information in plain and easy to comprehend terms, with examples where appropriate.

Junifer Systems offers comprehensive levels of support to ensure that all customers receive the appropriate level of response required to meet their operational needs.

Junifer Systems is dedicated to exceptional customer service and ensuring that all customers become Junifer advocates.  This is achieved not only by providing, deploying and commissioning high quality solutions that meet (and often exceed) expectations, but also through our on-going commitment to customer satisfaction delivered by our product support team.  Our support staff are highly trained engineers who always aim to resolve issues at source and comfortably meet our contractual SLA targets.

As part of our ongoing support agreements, we provide customers with access to the Junifer web training portal, telephone/email support and future software upgrades.  The Junifer web portal provides our customers with easy access to Junifer reference and help information designed to work in conjunction with their Junifer product.  As part of a Junifer product implementation, we will often provide tailored support information specific to the customer that can be accessed through the customer’s own personal portal login.

We also offer customers a bureau service where we host the customer’s Junifer implementation and are responsible for the operational management of the system.  In this capacity we are responsible for all aspects of system maintenance, including application of software patches, server administration, system backups, recovery and in some cases hot standby options.
