Welcome to 406 Propane.  We are a retail distributor of liquid propane for residential and commercial customers in the beautiful Five Valley region of Western Montana.  We offer propane tank sales & rentals, installation & repair.  We are your neighbors, a locally owned & operated company, not a subsidiary of a national corporation.  We strive to provide excellent, reliable service at fair and competitive prices, with no hidden fees or gimmicks.  We are eager to serve you.

AUTO FILL (KEEP FULL)

Auto Fill is a delivery option in which we fill your propane tank automatically, as needed, based upon our records of your historical propane usage and prevailing weather conditions.  Because this allows us more efficient planning of our delivery routes, Auto Fill is the most cost effective delivery option.

An An Auto Fill Customer:

• You will never have to call us to refill your propane tank
• You will always get our lowest seasonally adjusted pricing

WILL CALL

Will Call is a delivery option that allows customers control of and responsibility for ordering their propane when needed. Although this may be beneficial for some customers, it is often the more expensive way to purchase propane.

As a Will Call Customer:

• You will monitor your propane tank level, (see “reading the gauge” graphic)
• You will schedule delivery of propane when gauge reads 30% capacity, calling 406 Propane a minimum five (5) business days in advance to schedule delivery
• You must maintain clear, unobstructed access to the propane tank
• You must be credit approved and remain current on all payments
• Failure to comply with these terms may result in suspension of service

BUDGET BILLING

Our Budget Billing (Monthly Payment Plan) program is designed to take the stress out of paying for winter heating expenses.  As a residential customer, you will enjoy the predictability of having a set monthly payment to distribute your annual propane expenses over a period of 12 months.

As a Budget Billing  (Monthly Payment Plan) Customer:

•  Your budget rate is a calculated estimate of your annual propane usage and projected winter propane price. Your projected annual propane costs are divided into 12 equal payments.
• It works like an escrow account. Your monthly payments accumulate credit for your future propane purchases.
• Budget Billing is only available as an electronic transaction. We will not send you a monthly bill. You are required to authorize automatic monthly charges to your credit card or debits from your bank account. You will be notified at the time of the transaction by email, again, no paper invoices.
• Our open enrollment period is April–May, and based solely on the approval of our home office. Prior to enrollment, your tank will be filled to capacity and must be paid for, in full, at the time of delivery.
• Your monthly payment will be reviewed yearly and your payment adjusted, with your permission.
• Note: If your payment transaction fails, Budget Billing for your account will be automatically discontinued and any balance on your account is due and payable immediately.
