Scott Unger (former Manager of AmeriGas — Big Island) and his wife Karen (formally with Aloha Airlines) opened AliÊ»i Gas & Energy in October of 2011. Prior to Scotts "launch" into the gas business, our competitor had a monopoly on the market. Born and raised on the Big Island, Scott understands the challenges of being an Island- State particularly as it relates to energy. Primarily, a propane company, AliÊ»i Gas has evolved into AliÊ»i Gas & Energy. Our goal is to segue our customers from an oil reliant base to a renewable base providing clean and economical solutions along the way. The key to AliÊ»i Gas & Energy is understanding our customers. With that in mind, there is no company better positioned to offer the residents of Hawaii a level of options and pricing never before seen. While complying with all County and Federal Codes, we hope to provide common sense solutions to the Big Islands energy needs.
