Apollo Propane Inc. is a locally owned and operated retail propane business providing the residents of southwest Ohio with the highest quality propane gas and exceptional service for over forty years.  Apollo was founded and owned by Walter O. Fritzsche, Jr. in 1969. Walter was not new to the industry since propane ran in the family as his father, Walter O. Fritzsche, Sr., started and operated Walts Bottle Gas in 1949. Walter Jr. gained valuable experience working with his father and started his own propane business several years before actually incorporating in 1969. Apollo was successfully launched with the help of his devoted and loving wife Luella, and their four teenage sons. The business was named after the Apollo space program because along with being intensely patriotic, Wally shared the same focus of purpose, hard work and dedication to a goal that enabled America to put men on the moon. apollo 1974 Walter became affectionately known as “Wally the Gasser” because of his close connection to his customers and his willingness to go the extra mile for each of them. Apollo operated on West Third Street in Dayton until moving to its present location in 1974. The Company expanded its original plant storage from 30,000 to 90,000 gallons in 1994 and again to 180,000 gallons in 2007 to meet its growth requirements and to ensure guaranteed supply for its customers. Sadly, Walter passed away in 2006. The team here at Apollo proudly honors Wallys legacy by continuing the service traditions he insisted on for the propane needs of several thousand Apollo customers in eight counties of southwest Ohio. The Company continues to grow through the service of its dedicated employees, the use of new and emerging technologies and our belief that old fashioned values like service and personal relationships are not only still relevant, but more important than ever.

DELIVERY OPTIONS 

Most of our home heating customers take advantage of our “Automatic Fill” program. Our computer tracks your consumption pattern and the weather so that we know when you need propane. We then automatically deliver to you when we are in the area. This relieves you of the stress of keeping track and insures you always have an adequate supply of fuel during the winter months. heating We also offer a “Will Call” option for those who prefer to schedule their own deliveries. Just call us 5 to 7 business days in advance and we will schedule your propane delivery. To prevent running out of gas it is important that homeowners monitor their consumption carefully.

EMERGENCY SERVICE 

You can rest comfortably knowing Apollo has 24 hour emergency service. We are available 365 days a year to help if you should ever have a problem. When our office is closed our qualified staff has access to the computer that houses your account every hour of every day. Wel be there for you when you need us.

FORKLIFTS

  Many businesses utilize propane powered forklifts, especially for indoor warehouse use. These lifts operate with little pollution and do not require the long recharge periods of electric lifts. Propane forklifts are less expensive to purchase, typically have more lifting power and are more economical to run. Apollo is happy to deliver forklift cylinders to customers of all sizes. Some businesses require only 1 or 2 cylinders a month, while others may need as many as 50 or more every day. We can supply storage racks and will tailor your delivery schedule to meet the changing demands of your business, even if it is seasonal in nature. TANK INSTALLATIONS:

Apollo Propane Inc. has been installing tanks for its customers for over 40 years. We have a deserved reputation for quality installations performed by courteous and trained professionals. We will install your tank in a timely and safe manner in compliance with all local, state and federal codes. We will do it right and on time. Our staff will help you choose a proper location and tank size and answer any questions you may have.  Apollo Propane stocks new and used residential and commercial propane tanks on hand for sale or to loan to our customers. These tanks are most commonly 120, 330, 500 and 1000 gallons in size. If you are interested in purchasing a new or used tank, please contact us by phone or email for a quote.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

• Cylinder Refilling: Grill tanks, forklift bottles and any portable DOT cylinder can be filled at our plant. Refilling is cheaper than exchange cages where you pay more for partially filled cylinders!

• RV filling: We can fill your RV or camper at our plant or provide metered service for any refilling needs.

• Heater, Torch and Cylinder Sales: We sell a variety of portable heaters, torches and cylinders of all sizes at our main office.

• Heater Repair: Our technicians can troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of propane heaters to keep them running in cold weather.

• Cylinder Repair: We can check your cylinder for leaks, repair and install new valves at our facility.
