About Company

We provide our clients with accurate and affordable groundwater location surveys, preliminary and full written reports that indicate the depth, yield (flow rate) and thickness of the aquifer.

Upon request by Dr. R. Clark of Groundflow, AquaLocate has redesigned the Groundflow GF2500-3500 unit. As of January 2013 the newest most advanced Seismoelectric geophysical instrument is the GF6. AquaLocate provides technology to find well water before drilling begins.

AquaLocate exclusively manufactures and distributes the GF6 instrument through sales. Additionally, through our sister company http://www.FindWellWater.com we provide groundwater surveys giving our clients helpful information such as aquifer depth, yield and thickness before any drilling begins. The GF6 technology can also provide direct hydrocarbon indications to very significant depths. A discount is offered for bulk purchases of the GF6.

Training programs and support for GF6 sales are offered by AquaLocate and its consultants are second to none with the managers and affiliates having over 30 years of combined experience using the Seismoelectric well water locating system originally developed by Groundflow, Ltd. AquaLocate offers the only authorized training program for the Seismoelectric equipment distributed by our company.

AquaLocate uses environmental friendly practices to effectively find well water before water well drilling occurs. It is no longer necessary to spend untold sums of money drilling a “test well” and causing unnecessary environmental impact before finding the groundwater you need. With the cost of drilling a water well increasing every day, a GF6 Seismoelectric groundwater survey is a reasonable investment for the risk avoidance it buys. We offer FREE phone consultation and will inform you about what to expect in your area and whether a groundwater assessment survey makes sense for your situation or not.

AquaLocate proudly provides groundwater assessment services worldwide. We have been fortunate to help property owners and Seismoelectric equipment operators on 3 continents and in 9 countries (United States, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, India, and Ecuador).

AquaLocate and its affiliates offer well water location and quantification services as well as direct hydrocarbon indication services at rates that make our services affordable to nearly everyone who needs it. Our equipment is the only equipment of its kind that has been able to accurately determine the depth and yield of a well water source(s). Our services can help you determine if groundwater is present before you start a water well drilling program. Locating well water before you drill is a very important step in a well water drilling program. Additionally, our equipment can help define the depth and yield of any groundwater source located during the survey. With this information you can better plan the potential costs of a new well drilling program.

With an average cost of drilling at $30 to $60 per foot, even a water well drilled to a modest depth can cost between $6,000 and $12,000 or more! Well drilling contractors spend their time, energy and fuel on each well they drill therefore it is necessary for them to charge a client even if the well they drill is dry or has a yield to low to provide an economical amount of well water.

The cost of an Seismo Electric survey is usually not more than 15 to 25% of an average well, a reasonable cost for the risk avoidance it buys. If you cannot afford to risk $6,000 to $12,000 (or more) on a “dry well” or low yielding well then act now and contact AquaLocate. Remember, when you drill a dry well you will still need to drill another well to replace the dry one. When you hireAquaLocate or one of our affiliates you are hiring the best in the industry.

Using the GF6 we can provide:

  • Maps and profiles showing groundwater (aquifer) depth and thickness
  • Reports predicting well yield
  • Development of contour maps
  • Mapping of problem zones in major excavation sites
  • Assistance in the planning of large-scale development of dry land agriculture
  • Water table delineation
  • Permeability profiles

AquaLocate provides training and support services for operators of the GF6/GF3500 equipment. Our training team has trained dozens of people from around the world on the effective use of the seismoelectric system used by our company. These trainees have gone on to successfully locate groundwater for hundreds of people around the world. Additional services offered: – Seismoelectric interpretation – Development of contour maps and flow models from seismoelectric data.

Number of surveys performed using the Seismoelectric system that AquaLocate uses:

  • United States: Over 3,000 surveys performed and over 30,000 soundings completed.
  • Canada: Nearly 100 surveys performed and over 450 soundings completed.
  • Mexico: Over 50 surveys performed and nearly 400 soundings completed.
  • New Zeeland: Nearly 400 surveys performed and over 4,000 soundings completed.
  • Australia: Nearly 25 surveys performed and over 200 soundings completed.
  • Africa: Dozens of surveys performed.
  • Europe: Dozens of surveys performed.
  • India: More than a dozen surveys performed.

Borehole preparation: AquaLocate can offer FREE or low cost advice and information to persons intending to drill a new borehole. This information can potentially help save hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a new borehole (water well). Use our “Contact Us” page to request this FREE or low cost helpful information and advice.

Site Requirements and Client Responsibilities:

  • We need to have safe access to each of the sounding sites with our 4X4 vehicle (we can do remote soundings in acceptable weather which will have an additional cost dependent on the difficulty of access).
  • The area to be tested generally needs to be a minimum of 50 feet away from any type of electrical power source (primarily underground power, underground pipe lines or some buildings with major power supplies).
  • Clients are asked to describe the survey site conditions when booking. We need to have enough native soil do drive (install) four 1m long 3/4 inch diameter electrodes into the ground. The electrodes are placed in a straight line and require an area that is approximately 16 feet long and 4 feet wide to complete each sounding. The ground should consist of no more than 30% large gravel or stones. If the top 4 feet contains more than 30% large gravel, large stone, cobble, or bedrock, then more soundings may be required and special techniques may need to be implemented (at extra charge) to collect the data we require to complete the final report.
  • If you cannot dig a hole with a shovel that is 2’x2’x2’ then the property will need to be assessed by a representative of Aqualocate.
Survey’s must be completed on “native soils” If there is fill on the property, it will need to be excavated down to native soil. Excavation may not be a viable option in every case.
  • In some cases, calibration data may be needed. Calibration data is data collected near an existing water well within one mile or less of the subject property and is used to modify computer settings when necessary. Site requirements near a calibration well need to meet Aqualocate standards.
  • The client or the client’s representative must meet us on site prior to the survey to identify the area to be surveyed, sign the survey agreement and arrange for payment (if not done previously). (Check, Cash or Credit card accepted)
  • If there is any risk at all of underground services that might be more shallow than 4 feet below ground surface anywhere near the area to be surveyed, the client should have underground locates carried out and have all in ground piping, wiring, gas lines or other services clearly marked well before we arrive to do the survey.
