Ariba Oil started in August of 1981 as a sister company of two well established companies in Essex County. The idea for Ariba Oil was a discount heating oil company that could provide fast timely deliveries of any size to people in New Jersey. The oil price shock had many people upset about the cost of oil and the ability to pay for heat. Our discount oil and service were just what they were looking for. In 1985, the current owner took over the management and started independently at a new location in Hudson County.

Ariba has since relocated to Irvington to better access the loading facilities at major oil companies. This location is strategically located at the intersection of the Garden State Parkway and I-78. This puts us within minutes of loading from Sunoco and Shell Oils Motiva plant. Our location is within 5 miles of all the major highways leading through New Jersey. The logistical benefits of locating close to suppliers and routes can be passed along to our customers as a savings. We pick up oil fresh from the major oil refiners and bring it out to you. No putting it into storage tanks and having problems with maintaining a clean facility or product contamination. This allows us to make deliveries more quickly than a lot of local high priced companies.

Ariba is proud of the fact that we were able to grow and prosper as an alternative to the high priced established firms. The fact that we took a value added approach to discount heating oil, has allowed for our growth and long-term stability.
