Autofab started in the summer of 1977 building hot rods and drag cars. V6 and V8 engine conversions into various mini trucks were very popular in those years prior to smog rules and regulations. We started into off road building a Jeep for SCORE racing. Soon we were developing products for Ford trucks. Back then before exotic suspension, the Ford truck was the racers choice. Twin I Beams were simple and durable. Autofab made its business creating products to help a Ford owner build his own off road toy.
