Even before John Homeier graduated from the University of Illinois in 1960, he set his sights on becoming an independent oil producer in the Illinois Basin. Despite the fact that domestic exploration and production waned as major oil companies began searching globally for oil, Johns determination and the work ethic instilled in him by his parents helped him persevere.  John combined his background in engineering and geology with his enthusiasm and long workdays to provide the foundation for his career. His vision was to create a business designed to fulfill the needs of the independent oil producer in the Illinois Basin.  With the acute insight that has characterized his career, John realized that it would be essential to assemble a qualified team of employees. In 1973, he founded Bi-Petro, Inc. with the anticipation of expanding into a diversified independent oil purchasing and production company.  Today, over 30 years later, we are proud to state that Bi-Petros philosophy remains the same. As a producer of crude oil in the Illinois Basin, Bi-Petro recognizes the needs of independent producers. Whether we are complying with regulations or treating oil to pipeline quality, we are always mindful that your concerns are also our concerns. Our crude oil buyers, supervisors, gaugers and drivers work together around-the-clock to successfully coordinate the movement of your oil and minimize your crude inventory. Specialized programs are available to create flexibility in marketing your oil and improving your cash flow. Our accounting, data processing and title departments work closely together to ensure timely and accurate payment for crude oil purchases. Your Expense Simplification

The collection of operating expenses is vital to the successful operation of a well or lease. This often involves excessive time spent on costly paperwork, leaving less time for profitable production. Instituted in 1989, our Y.E.S. program has been well received by producers and owners alike, and continues to benefit producers every month by reducing their workload and improving their cash flow.  Through Bi-Petros Y.E.S. program, expenses can be collected from the working interest owners and submitted directly to the producer. Net checks are then remitted to the working interest owners, alleviating their need to mail payments.  This is a voluntary program and in the event a working interest owner declines to participate in the program, expenses will not be deducted from the declining owners revenue. However, in the event the owner is subject to an operating agreement that allows the producer to collect revenues directly from the crude oil purchaser for payment of operating expenses, then we will be happy to deduct expenses pursuant to the Y.E.S Program.
