In the same year a biogas plant was built on the Heslerhof. The problems at that time with the high-speed agitators with high grass silage use in the fermenter of the biogas plant inspired the two of them to build their own, slow-running agitator. The Varibull paddle agitator ,  developed in 2002 , has meanwhile proven itself a thousand times over and is one of the best-selling agitators of all. Gradually, more biogas components were developed. The variety of products for biogas plants of theBiogastechnik Süd GmbH has its origins in the daily work of an agricultural company.
