Birdseye Renewable Energy is a renewable energy developer that delivers thoroughly developed, shovel-ready projects to its clients across the southeastern United States.  We specialize in the greenfield development of utility-scale solar facilities through identifying optimal sites and markets, building honest and trusting relationships with local stakeholders, securing all necessary approvals and contractual agreements, minimizing costs, and shepherding our projects to complete pre-construction readiness with a team of leading engineering firms.

Birdseye Renewable Energy was founded in 2009 by Brian C. Bednar, CPM®, LEED AP after more than 12 years in the property management, brokerage and development business. Birdseye Renewable Energy has a close-knit team of professionals with varied backgrounds in agriculture, property management, academia, law enforcement, project management and the wider energy industry. We all share a passion for clean energy and for bringing great projects to life.  We pride ourselves on integrity and honesty in all our relationships. Any great project starts and ends with transparency and trust.

Our Development Process

We take pride in delivering quality results to all of our stakeholders, from landowners and their communities to investors and construction partners. This effort begins with the thoughtful identification of sites that delicately balances the interests of our landowner partners, the surrounding community, and our investors. We conduct multiple layers of due diligence to ensure cost-efficient buildability, as well as the identification of all environmentally and culturally sensitive aspects of a given property. We listen carefully to local officials and residents to understand their needs and concerns throughout the process, and ensure the necessary zoning approvals and permits. Above all, we pride ourselves on integrity in all of our relationships, which is critical for bringing together all parties for successful renewable energy development.
