History 

Blue Ribbon Fuels history begins in Nutley, New Jersey, dating back to the early 1900s when the founder, Demetrio Olivo, began selling ice from a horse-drawn cart. In 1925 he began selling fuel (wood and coal). After World War II, the business was taken over by his son, Salvatore Olivo, who expanded the service area to Passaic and Bergen counties. Today third-generation brothers Sal and Frank, along with their mother Lucille, operate the business.

This service guarantees that youll never run out of fuel. Deliveries are scheduled based on your past usage and the current weather conditions. You dont have to worry about checking your supply, and you dont have to be home for deliveries. To become an automatic delivery customer, simply call us at (973) 667-7988, then download and send us your competed delivery and credit application.

Will Call 

Customers have the choice to call for fuel in advance and are responsible for ordering their fuel in a timely manner. Deliveries are usually scheduled within a few days of request.

Thanks to a local storage facility coupled with many different suppliers, you are ensured that we always have a reliable supply for our customers. Having this arrangement also helps us to keep our prices at a competitive rate because we can buy in bulk and pass the savings on to you.  In addition to knowing that Blue Ribbon Fuel has an ample Oilheat supply, youll be pleased to know that our nation boasts a plentiful supply as well. There are over 50 oil-producing countries, and the U.S. is not dependent on any one country or region for its supply. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve in the United States also has a capacity of 727 million barrels - the worlds largest emergency oil stockpile - and the Northeast Heating Oil Reserve stores 2 million barrels.
