Briles Oil & Gas was started in 1960 by Harold Briles, a native of Randolph County. Working in the evenings and on Saturdays after his full time job, he would drive to Greensboro to purchase a load of petroleum products in a delivery truck that held 1020 gallons. Many homes were heated with either fuel oil or kerosene, so friends and neighbors were his first customers.  Later, two 7500 storage tanks near his house made the delivery process more efficient.  In 1967, Harold began working full time from his home and kept his operations there until 1975. The first office was located on Albemarle Road in Asheboro. Operations were moved to the current location in 1988. Harolds son, David, joined the business in 1988.  Now, over fifty years later, as a small company with less than twenty employees, we love what we do and the people we are blessed to work with each day. Our employees have an average length of service of sixteen years with Briles Oil & Gas. Their experience and commitment rivals that of much larger companies in the industry. All of our employees live in one of our service areas. We appreciate them and their hard work.

BILLING/CREDIT/FINANCING 

We offer a $.03 cents per gallon discount on propane and a $0.01 cents per gallon discount on heating fuels for payment in 10 days or less. We also offer discounts for churches.  Twelve month payment plans are available to help you budget for your heating costs. Come in today and ask us for details.  We offer a "Keep-Full" Delivery Service for all of our propane, kerosene and fuel oil customers. We put you on a route and deliver your product based on your normal usage and the average daily temperatures. This allows us to keep our prices competitive and makes sure you never run out of the product you use to heat your home or office.    A facility fee is charged for the propane tanks we install and maintain on your property for your use. Customers with 123 gallon tanks should use 100 gallons per year. Customers with larger tanks should use 200 gallons per year. Otherwise, we charge a facility fee to those who do not meet the minimum.  With approved credit, you can request a gas card to use at the unattended fueling station at our Asheboro office. Your BOG invoice will keep up with important fuel efficiency information for all your vehicles, including total fuel purchases and average miles per gallon. If you have a fleet of trucks, this feature provides you with important information for your records.  Full payment is expected within thirty days. Failure to do so will affect future deliveries.
