Our History

In 1949, William H. Casey purchased an oil truck and – just like that – Casey Fuel was born.  Casey the Oilman – as Bill was known around town – did it all, even delivering oil himself and running the business out of a garage just behind his house on Main Street in Ridgefield, CT.  Today, Casey’s president, Bill’s grandson Shane, works at the same desk where his grandfather built the company, which is the same desk where Shane’s father Mike ran Casey Fuel for more than 30 years, and the same desk where plans were laid to rebrand the company as Casey Energy in 2011.  That history is behind everything we do at Casey, and behind every service call we make to customers today. It’s the reason so many of our employees and customers have been with us for more than a quarter of a century – and why there are 15 vehicles bearing the Casey name on the road today.  Casey the Oilman would be proud.
