Who We Are

Century Natural Resources, and our operating company Century Oil and Gas, LLC, is focused on organic growth through safe, responsible development and management of our approximately 100,000 acre operated position in the Eastern Powder River Basin of Wyoming. With a focus on utilizing new drilling methods, completion techniques and acreage with stacked formation potential, Century Natural Resources is positioned to become one of the most innovative and successful companies in the Powder River Basin.    

Laura Fidler, CEO

Laura Fidler serves as the CEO of Century Natural Resources, LLC. She and her partners founded Century in October 2018 with private equity sponsorship. Prior to starting Century Natural Resources, Laura held roles with major E&Ps as well as smaller private equity-backed companies. Laura has extensive experience evaluating deals across the continental U.S. and has handled all facets of regional and asset level geologic evaluation. Laura earned her MS in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin and her BA in Geology from the University of Colorado.

Patrick Moffitt, COO

Patrick Moffitt is a petroleum engineer with experience in reservoir, production, drilling, and midstream operations. Prior to founding Century, Patricks most recent role was with the U.S. Onshore Exploration Team at Anadarko Petroleum Corp. evaluating deals and managing engineering operations. Additionally, he worked as a Senior Facilities Engineer design of facilities and gathering networks in Anadarkos Delaware Basin asset and Completions/Production Engineer for the East Texas/North Louisiana asset designing and executing completions in both conventional and unconventional plays. Patrick has his BS in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Justin Ballard, CLO & VP Land

Justin Ballard is an attorney and land professional with experience in multiple basins. Prior to Century, Justin was General Counsel and Vice President of Acquisition and Divestitures at a private equity backed E&P company. From 2016 to 2018, Justin was at Indigo Minerals developing properties and working with the marketing and midstream groups on gathering contracts and facilities. He was at Anadarko Petroleum Corp. from 2012 to 2016 leading the Land Development and Planning Teams in East Texas and Delaware Basins and acted as the legal liaison for surface related matters. Justin earned his B.S. from the University of Central Missouri and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. Justin is a member of the A.A.P.L. and the Texas State Bar.

Ryan Leachman, VP Operations

Ryan Leachman is a petroleum engineer with operational experience in both conventional and unconventional assets in a variety of basins across the U.S. He spent much of the previous seven years in operational and production roles in the Permian Basin at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Parsley Energy. Prior to working the Permian, Ryan worked as both a production and facility engineer in the South Texas Eagle Ford Shale for APC. Ryan earned his Petroleum Engineering Technology degree from NAIT in Edmonton, Alberta and his BS in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech.

R.T. Dukes, CFO

R.T. serves as CFO of Century Natural Resources, LLC. Prior to Century, R.T. was a Director at Wood Mackenzie. At the firm, he supported commodities research and contributed to valuation and due-diligence work that accounted for billions of dollars in transactions. Before joining Wood Mackenzie, he founded the mineral investment company Carthage Resources. R.T. earned his BS in accounting and MS in finance from Texas A&M University. He also serves on the advisory board for the Professional Program in Accounting at Texas A&M University.

Pam Rodriguez, VP Accounting & Controller

Pam Rodriguez joined Century Natural Resources, LLC in September 2019. Most recently, Pam was Director of Operations Accounting at Oasis Petroleum where her focus was on revenue, marketing and operations accounting. While at Oasis, from 2007-2019, she held various Accounting Manager positions as Oasis grew from a private equity to a publicly traded company. From 1993–2007, Pam worked at Burlington Resources where she held various Accounting Management and Senior Leadership roles. Prior to Burlington, she worked with Columbia Gulf Pipeline. Pam holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
