Chesapeake Petroleum is owned by the Rexford A. Davis family trust. The company has a Board of Directors that meets twice a year. Chesapeake Petroleum is an oil distributing company that has served the metropolitan DC area for over 45 years.  The company has 12 sales representatives that market its product lines in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.  Chesapeake is noted for its ability to meet a multitude of its customers needs. It is especially skilled at showing clients how to increase sales to their ultimate customer.  Chesapeake also enjoys an outstanding reputation for being financially supportive to its clients. 

Chesapeake Petroleum and Supply Inc. was founded by Rexford A. Davis in October 1961.  Now in its 48th year, the company has become the premier distributor of automotive lubricants and other related products in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Chesapeake has been headquartered in Gaithersburg, MD since 1967, and added a second distribution center in Upper Marlboro, MD in 2000. 

Our Products & Services

Chesapeake specializes in passenger car motor oils and carries highly recognizable brands such a Mobil, Castrol, Motorcraft, Mopar and Exxon. In addition to these, Chesapeake has recently added a new line of lubicrants, Service Pro.  Through the years the company has diversified its product line to include filters, anti-freeze, wiping materials, sealants, wiper blades, reconditioning chemicals and other automotive related items.
