Coastal Butane Service is a family-owned and operated business that has been servicing Fort Bend County, Wharton County and the surrounding counties with exceptional products and services since 1950. We pride ourselves on serving the community in which we live to the best of our abilities, and we actively donate as well as give back to the youth of the county fairs, CCA, Ducks Unlimited, and other charitable organizations.

Company History

In 1950, Howard Raska was a delivery truck driver and service technician at Dixie LP Gas located in Rosenberg, TX. While working for Dixie, he learned the propane trade and gained knowledge as well as experience. Then, in the early 60s, Howard Raska purchased Dixie LP Gas and changed the name to Coastal Butane Service. At the time, there were only three employees, one delivery truck driver, a serviceman and one secretary. The company remained at its current location for several years where it began to expand and grow. In the early 80s, with more employees and a growing customer base, Howard decided to buy a new location to build a bigger building on 3230 Bamore Road, Rosenberg TX. In April 1982, the business was permanently moved to 3230 Bamore Road. At the present time, Coastal Butane Service employs 13 individuals, 5 delivery trucks, and 2 service trucks that serve Fort Bend, Wharton and the surrounding counties.

Will call propane delivery

  This type of delivery means that you, the customer, need to monitor the percentage of gas in your propane tank. When the tank reads no less than 20%, we recommend ordering a refill or a certain amount of propane gallons, which can be no less than 100 gallons. This allows us to schedule your delivery for a day when a delivery truck will be in your area and helps to ensure you are not without propane.  

On-route propane delivery

  For continuous hassle-free residential propane service, we recommend on-route propane delivery. With this plan, your designated delivery truck driver will continuously fill your tank without you having to think about checking your tank level. We will monitor the supply of propane you use in your household and fill it when needed. To be eligible for this plan, you must provide a current credit report upon setting up service in our office.

Be Safe! Avoid Out-Of-Gas Delivery

It is very important that our customers keep an eye on their gauge, which is located on the top of the propane tank. When a gauge gets between 10 and 20 percent, the customer needs to call the office and place a propane order. If you run out completely, charges may be applied, because the truck driver will have to perform a leak test on the entire propane system and then relight all appliances on propane.  At Coastal Butane Service, we provide friendly and old-fashioned services. We strive to provide you with same-day delivery, and our team likes to relate and connect to our customers. In addition, every driver has their hazmat and LP license.
