Combined Energy Services started as Taylor Oil in Walt & Patricia Taylor’s kitchen in 1968 when Pat would answer the home phone with her 4-year-old & infant son. Walt worked for a different local heating oil distributor by day, would deliver oil to their customers at night, purchasing his heating fuel from his boss.  Didn’t take long until the Taylors bought a local Atlantic gasoline station in Monticello, moved the home office, and added fuel oil storage tanks on a parcel in neighboring Thompsonville, NY. The rest is basically history- over the next 50 years, CES has grown into one of largest FAMILY OWNED propane gas & heating oil companies in the region and now serves the tri-state region of NY, PA & NJ.  While our company may have grown, our commitment to delivering the best customer service 24 hours per day at fair prices with the best team in the industry has never wavered. CES - safely delivering fuel oil  CES started delivering fuel oil in 1968 when Walt Taylor began as Taylor Oil with his one truck working from the family home. Since that time, we’ve evolved to be one of the most progressive and largest independent fuel suppliers in the region. While anyone can simply sell fuel oil, we strive to be truly a full-service home heating & energy company.

Low Sulfur Off-Road Diesel Fuel

For the past 40 years CES has provided direct to equipment and site storage tank refueling on job sites. Our trucks will visit your job site on a predetermined schedule and time, to fill all of your equipment, tanks and/or vehicles. Many of our trucks carry both on and off road diesel so we can fuel all of your equipment, not just construction machinery. We have fueled sites consuming as much as 2,000 gallons per day, and as little as 50 gallons per day. *Not available in all service locations.

METERED GAS

Built under the same stringent codes as natural gas distribution systems, CES can install a propane system that can supply subdivisions, apartment complexes or commercial rentals from one centralized storage tank.  We provide everything for the developer or commercial property owner including engineering, permitting, installation and continual maintenance while eliminating the need for individual tanks and delivery trucks at each customer’s location. Very often we can be in a shared trench with electric, cable TV & telephone making installation simple for the developer.

GASOLINE (ETHANOL FREE)

Many gas powered engines, including classic cars, motorcycles, ATVs, boats & personal watercraft, snow-blowers, snowmobiles, chainsaws, lawn mowers and more – can experience adverse issues from ethanol-blended fuel (E10 gasoline). Because ethanol attracts and absorbs water, it can cause phase separation which can result in decrease fuel efficiency, engine problems and lower performance.   Using ethanol free can increase fuel efficiency, reduce engine problems and increase performance.For small engines that are used periodically and those who need to store gasoline for extended periods of time, the chemical properties are destructive to rubber, fiberglass, plastic and other composite parts of the fuel system and engine. This may result in carburetor damage, clogging and/or plugging of fuel injectors and ignition failure. By using ethanol free you can avoid the above issues.

BENEFITS OF OFF-ROAD DIESEL

Off-road diesel can be used for many purposes. For the past 40 years, CES has provided direct to equipment and storage tanks on job sites. For the first time, customers can purchase at the pump!  This fuel is meant for vehicles that are not operated on public roads.  Certain federal and state taxes do not apply to off-road (only) use fuels in turn making the price cheaper than on-road diesel. We offer actual dyed “off-road, low sulfur diesel fuel” (15 ppm sulfur which meets US EPA regulations) as opposed to clear “on-road” diesel. In Pennsylvania, we offer a maximum of 500 ppm sulfer to meet the USEPA requirements. Some personal uses include farm equipment, construction equipment, forestry & logging operations, generators, portable trailers and portable light towers.
