Drilco Oil and Gas is a 3rd generation oil and gas producer/operator in West Virginia. Our owner and President, Hugh Dale, has extensive knowledge of oil and gas drilling operations, oil and gas formations and negotiating lease contracts within the Appalachian Basin.  In 1959, Hughs grandfather came form the south to West Virginia to start a drilling contracting company that met with great success. Drilling numerous wells in Central West Virginia with outstanding production.  In 1967, Hughs Father and Uncle carried the baton and began working for Pennzoil, Ashland and Cabot all throughout the Appalachian Basin and continued to do so for another 21 years offering turn-key drilling and blasting services.   Since 1995, when Drilco Oil and Gas was founded, we have lead the way in innovative solutions for oil and gas exploration, drilling and processing. Out team of professionals are considered some of the most seasoned oil and gas veterans in West Virginia. Our close proximity to national supply lines allows us to post record profits.  Hugh Dale is a man whose lifeline is found in the oil and gas fields. Although he is the owner you can always find him in the field, working at a well or with investors and landowners.

A trusted source for oil and gas exploration, Hughs passion is in the field.  Since the incorporation of Drilco Oil and Gas in 1995 Hugh and his small team of professionals have successfully explored, located and put into production over 200 wells in the Appalachian Basin.  Drilco is successful, because Drilco knows the oil and gas formations of the Appalachian region, it is second nature.

Natural Gas

Drilco Oil and Gas has extensive acreage of Natural Gas formats, the future of Natural Gas is looking brighter and brighter as companies and consumers seek eco-friendly energy sources. Given the current political sway form coal to cleaner energy sources, Drilco is positioned to provide investors with a solid Natural Gas harvesting program.  Drilco currently has access in excess of 4BCF of proved clean-burning natural gas reserves, including coalbed methane and shale beds. From Natural Gas to Marcellus Shale and other shale reserves Drilco Oil and Gas is at the forefront of providing environmentally sustainable energy sources.  The rich black Marcellus and Utica shales are considered by those in the industry as two of the most promising energy exploration developments in history, with the potential to sustain our countrys energy needs for many years and reduce our dependency on foreign oil. It is estimated that more than 500 trillion cubic feet of natural gas is contained in these formations of rock that run through Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and West Virginia.  Drilco natural gas operations include coalbed methane extraction, conventional and shale gas exploration and production, all of which requires expertise and technology that continues to evolve and advance.
