My family's involvement in the oil and gas business began with my grandfather in the early 1900's. My career in the petroleum industry began in 1977. Since 1978, I have owned and operated my own lease brokerage company known as ELM Corporation located in Mobile, Alabama.

As a Charter Member of the Alabama Petroleum Landman's Association, I have served as President and also served on various association committees. I am a member of our international association, the American Association of Professional Landmen. I have served and held various offices and as President in 1994 - 1995. During the American Association of Professional Landmen's Annual Meeting in New Orleans, I was presented with the AAPL 1992 Special Award.

I am also an active member of various state and regional landmen associations. I helped coordinate legislative efforts with the US Oil & Gas Association (Mississippi/Alabama Division), the Alabama Petroleum Council and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. I have worked for many years and continue to work with the Alabama Legislature for the passage of various oil and gas related bills.
