Since its inception in 1981, Emarat took over 90 service stations from foreign companies and expanded them to over 110. These service stations were distributed in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. In 1987, Emarat saw an increase in service stations and by the end of 2008, there were a total of 167, including 90 new generation stations. Emarat witnessed a comprehensive and historic change in 1996 when it launched a new corporate identity with an aim to undertake a full and complete renovation of operations of all stations, and to reflect the concepts of quality service and customer satisfaction embodied within the brand name. The corporation continues to carry out its activities in marketing and distributing of petroleum products through service stations and fuel depots in order to ensure the happiness of its customers within the framework of the general plan of the country. Emarat has distinguished brands such as Freshplus, Bakeria and Caf Arabicca, and aims to spread its brands regionally and globally in the coming years, basing on its 35 years of experience in the retail sector in USA markets.

Natural Gas

Emarat owns and operates the largest natural gas transmission system in the Northern Emirates. This system consists of a compressor station and approximately 360 kilometers of underground pipework, supplying 20 remote operated metering, pressure regulations. Natural gas from the Sajaa Field is measured, compressed and distributed to power stations and major industrial users, allowing environmentally friendly gas to be used in place of liquid fuels.

AVIATION FUEL

Since 1992, Emarat has operated its Aviation business as part of Emojet, a joint venture with ExxonMobil, setting out the Corporations first entry into the aviation fuelling market in the region thus taking a great stride in its distinguished journey. The successful venture operated to fuel airlines flying through Dubai and Al Maktoum International Airports, utilizing state of the art technology, equipment and control systems. The operations were benchmarked to the highest international quality and safety standards to ensure best performance levels were consistently being achieved by a high-qualified team of managerial and technical staff. After 25 years, it has been mutually agreed that this joint venture expires at the end of July 2017, where Emojet will continue to operate and serve its clients.

LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS

Emarat Gas Distribution was established in 1999 to serve residential and industrial customers in Dubai. Today Emarat has a market share of 50% in Dubai with its partners since operations started. In order to meet the growing consumer demand for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders in Dubai, Emarat commissioned an LPG bottling plant at its facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone with a storage capacity of 1,070 Cum and dispatches filled cylinders to residents through reputed dealers from the LPG distribution center located in Al Qusais.
