Low Temperature Thermal Desorption (LTTD) is a treatment technology which removes contaminants from solid media (e.g., soils) by volatilizing them with heat, but without combustion of the media. Volatized contaminants are carried within the process air stream and destroyed by means of thermal oxidation. The resultant media is amenable to various reuse applications once adequate contaminant removal has been demonstrated.
