First Coast Biofuels offers blended biodiesel and ethanol fuels (B99, B20, B5 and E98, E85, E10) for both on- and off-road use. Customers include trucking companies, federal, state and local governments, school busses, farming and logging companies, building contractors, cement and asphalt companies, universities and other fuel dealers. The company’s bulk loading facilities and retail dispensers are located in Lake City. The station is easily accessible to large and small customer trucks, while deliveries to customer’s fuel tanks are made by the company’s own tank wagons and by commercial carriers.  The president and CEO, John Magwood, has successfully owned and operated the business from its inception in 2003. He has a Master's Degree in ethanol fuel production and is highly knowledgeable in the production, distribution and use of biofuels in a variety of applications.

Biodiesel Blends (B20, B10, B5 and B99)

Our biodiesel fuel blends are high performing, ASTM certified fuels that are straight replacements for ULSD diesel. We offer these high quality blended biodiesel fuels for both on- and off-road use.All of our fuel blends are straight replacements for ULSD diesel fuel that uses the same fuel storage, transportation and dispensing infrastructure and can be used in any diesel vehicles or equipment. The biodiesel in our blends has proven to prolong the life of diesel engines. The engines run quieter and cooler and require less maintenance due to biodiesel offering better lubricity and a higher cetane number. And because the biodiesel is an excellent solvent, it keeps the fuel system cleaner as well, note the image to the right of two air filters from two busses after 6 months of driving similar routes and miles. Further, biodiesel blends have been shown to increase gas mileage while reducing harmful emissions by 20% to 40% compared to diesel.

Ethanol Blends

Our ethanol fuel blends are high performing, ASTM certified fuels that consistently meet or exceed our customers expectations. We offer these high quality blended ethanol fuels for both on- and off-road use. The number after the "E" indicates the percentage of ethanol by volume. Most of the gasoline sold in the U.S. contains up to 10% ethanol—the amount varies by region.
