Fremont Petroleum Corporation (FPC) is an Oil & Gas Production and Development company.  The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Florence Colorado USA with its Australian office located in Sydney Australia. The company has operations in Colorado and Kentucky and interests in two wells Texas.  Driven by a world-class team, the primary focus area is the 2nd oldest oilfield in the US located in Fremont County Colorado.  The Florence Oil field was discovered in 1881 with the likes of Standard Oil & Continental Oil (Conoco) at the helm of production.  With the advent of new technology the Florence Oil field is one of the most economic fields in the US, and is much larger and even more prolific than originally understood.  The company’s wholly-owned US Subsidiary, AusCo Petroleum Inc. is headquartered in Florence Colorado and operates a Business Unit in Kentucky. FPC is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX code: FPL).

History

Fremont Petroleum Corporation is an Oil & Gas production and development company that was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in June 2017 (ASX:FPL)  A successful oil and gas exploration company with a strong commitment to its shareholders, Fremont is currently one of the few U.S. focused oil and gas companies actively expanding in the low oil price environment.  Since 2012, Fremont Petroleum has initiated focused drilling programs at major U.S. sites, finding success in some of the world’s most prolific oil and gas producing basins located in Colorado, Western Kentucky, Southwestern Mississippi and Louisiana and Dimmitt County, Texas.  In recent years, Fremont Petroleum has responded to the lower oil prices by shifting its operational focus to low cost oil development and streamlined production methods, pursuing opportunities that offer the highest level of sustainable, long term growth.

Operations

Fremont Petroleum is the first company to successfully drill through the highly fractured and problematic Pierre formation and drill a horizontal well into the Niobrara formation.  The 15,282 acre Colorado Pathfinder property in the DJ Basin Colorado sits directly adjacent to the Florence Oil field, which has produced approximately 15.5 million barrels of oil from the shallow formation.
