History

Established in 1929 by the Clark brothers, we are now a 3rd generation Clark family business. Until the mid-1940s, the company name was Genesee Coal & Stoker, as coal was primary source of residential heat in Seattle. Genesee Energy is now proudly delivering the highest quality renewable, low carbon heating oil and propane. Our roots in the Seattle area run deep as we have a long list of loyal customers who have been with us since the early years.

Genesee Propane is a division of Genesee Energy. We are a local, family owned and operated business established in 1929 by Gordon Clark. We are now in our third generation of Clark family members. Gordon laid the foundation of this company with an emphasis of providing outstanding customer service to our customers. We are proud to continue that legacy in the community in which it was established.
