Donald Harbert started the family business in May of 1950. That is when he took over the existing business, running it as a Shell jobber. He was the order desk, deliveryman, and bookkeeper – as well as the owner and the one and only employee.Robin Harbert bought the business in 1987, and built Harbert Oil into the thriving company that it is today. Harbert Oil is now delivering in every corner of Lassen, Modoc and Shasta counties.

Robin is delighted that Harbert Oil is a family-owned business, and greatly enjoys having his son and family members work alongside of him. So although we’ve had a few name changes along the way, we are proud to be a family business that has been operating for more than 60 years.During those 60 years, we have become a knowledgeable, proficient, and established company that is excited to broaden its horizons.
