In 2005, Alex Hernandez founded Hernandez Consulting in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to help with New Orleans’ re-building process. Utilizing the firm’s small and disadvantaged business certifications, Hernandez Consulting captured several contracts with federal agencies to provide construction, security and project management services. Since our origination, the firm has developed into a project management firm specializing in construction, architecture, real estate development, and sustainability and energy management consulting.

Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana; with two additional offices in Miami, Florida and Fayetteville, Arkansas; Hernandez Consulting operates throughout the Southern United States and beyond. Our Offices are staffed with highly trained construction and design professionals to include superintendents, project managers, estimators, architects and administrative personnel. 

We maintain our original identity as a versatile project management group by leveraging the skills and resources of a number of subsidiary and partner companies. Our subsidiary, Carbon Solutions America, provides sustainability advisory services to corporate and governmental clients throughout the US. In 2012, Albert Architecture and Urban Design joined our team allowing us to provide architecture and design-build services in-house. Launched in 2013, New Orleans Redevelopment Fund is a real estate development firm primarily focused on the Greater New Orleans area. Hernandez Consulting has also established joint venture partnerships with Gulf Building, a Ft. Lauderdale-based general contractor, and South Coast Solar, Louisiana’s largest solar installer.

Our project management services provide overall coordination and management of all aspects of the planning and implementation processes. With a keen eye for risk mitigation associated with planning, design and execution, our comprehensive and collaborative approach moves the project from procurement through planning, administration, quality control and regulatory approvals, to execution.

In addition, we provide quality control analysis of all work to ensure that the client is receiving work which meets all contract requirements and quality metrics.

Hernandez Consulting is a licensed General Contractor and its construction management personnel are experts in the overall coordination and management of all aspects of the planning and implementation processes, aiding to mitigate the risks associated with planning, design and construction.

We offer Pre-Construction, General Contracting, and Construction Management services. Our projects are completed on time and delivered within budget. With state-of-the-art technology, we ensure all project scheduling and budgeting is kept up-to-date and promptly communicated.

Our construction team has extensive experience in demolition, renovation, and new construction projects for all size projects within the healthcare, multifamily, industrial, and office & retail segments.Hernandez Consulting is also adept at green building standards with several LEED Accredited Professionals on staff. Hernandez Consulting is also a member of Associated Builders & Contractors.

Our in house subsidiary Albert architecture is a full-service professional architectural firm and offers licensed architectural design services in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida.  Albert Architecture has successfully managed design projects for numerous clients, including new construction and renovation projects. The firm focuses on projects that enliven the local community, through an interactive collaboration of goals, ideas, and design solutions between the client and the architect.

Albert Architecture is capable of managing all design projects from initial planning through the completion of construction.  With our construction experience, we’re able to minimize change orders through a through constructability review of all drawing sets and ensure that all design work will be within budget with our estimating abilities.
