Keck Inc. is an 85 year old family owned Iowa based business. The company was founded by L. Roger Keck in 1927. L. Rogers trucking business began with a single Model T truck. The business expanded over the years and his son, John Keck took over the business in 1970. Today, the fuel and trucking business is operated by Mark Meyer, a long term employee. Our loyal and experienced staff provides our customers with the high level of service that they deserve.

Services
- For those who are have large storage capacity (10,000 gallons plus) Keck Energy offers you our wholesale price. These large deliveries – typically 7,500 gallons of diesel or 8,500 gallons of gasoline offer you the best cost savings. Our fuel transports are equipped with pumps which allow us to fill above ground tanks quickly.
- For the smaller purchases of 100 to 4,000 gallons, our 5 compartment tankwagons are ideal. These smaller trucks can get into tighter areas than the transports and can carry a mix of various products.
- When you dont want to worry about checking the tank level, we can set you up on a keep-full basis. Our route drivers will stop on a regular basis and keep your TANK FULL. We can also monitor your tank inventory via the internet depending on the equipment available.
- We have 500 gallon and larger, double wall, UL 142 tanks available for short term and long term rent. For the short term rentals, our trailer mounted tanks are great – ideal for contractors
- Dont ignore that backup generator! How long has it been since you last filled the tank? If the fuel is more than a year old, it is recommended that the fuel be pumped out, and new fuel pumped in. The storage and biocide additives are highly recommended for generators that are not used on a regular basis.

Products
- We have #1 and #2 diesel available year round. Clear for the on road users and dyed for off road use.
- Keck Energy has received the Iowa Department of Agricultures “Biodiesel Retailer of the Year” award for our strong promotion of Iowa produced soy biodiesel. We offer blends from B5 all the way to B99. The ULSD diesel fuel can benefit from the additional lubricity of biodiesel, and the biodiesel blends do a great job of keeping the injectors clean.
- Regular unleaded, E10 gasohol or even higher blends such as E15 and E85 are available. Ethanol blended gas help our local farmers and keeps fuel dollars here in Iowa.
- Increases the cetane, lubricity and long term storage characteristics of the fuel.
- Becoming more important now that the sulfur has been removed from the diesel. Dark, wet and warm surfaces encourage the growth of micro organisms referred to as bugs, bacteria or fungus. Left untreated, they accumulate and form a blackish slime which plugs your filters and injectors. Best treatment is a regular application of biocide, or, if conditions warrant, a “shock” treatment is required.
- When the temperatures are expected to be lower than a plus 10 degrees, a cold flow additive is highly recommended. This additive lowers the cold filter plug point “CFPP” by 15 degrees. When the temps are going to be well into the negatives, a blend of #1 and #2 is highly recommended. Our sales staff can give you advice on the proper ratio, based on the weather forecast.
