We, at Kelley Fuels, appreciate the opportunity to work with you and provide you with the excellent customer service and products that you expect. We are a third-generation family owned and operated small business founded in Bloomington, now based in Shakopee, Minnesota.  We provide gasoline, diesel fuel, motor oil and lubricant products in a variety of quantities from cases to transport loads. Our customers include construction companies, gas stations, Cities, homeowners, rapid lube/oil change sites, towing companies and airports, to name a few. They have come to expect that we learn about them and their needs and in doing so, we truly become a partner they can count on. We look forward to getting to know you and your company so we can meet all your fuel needs as well!

Our Team

We have a small but dedicated team in our office that is happy to help you! In addition to Vern, Dan and Val, Heidi and Treasa are here Monday through Friday to handle your orders and questions. Our drivers out in the field are professional, friendly and willing to go above and beyond when visiting your home or business. We value our relationships with our customers, many of whom have become like family.

Vern – Owner & president

Vern grew up around service stations, working with his dad at his Skelly station in Bloomington from his toddler years. After college and a stint as an over-the-road trucker, Vern came into the business nearly 40 years ago, and has since developed a rich and well-respected knowledge of the industry. He is very involved in the Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA), Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Association (MPMA) and is currently Chairman of the Minnesota State Petrofund Board, appointed by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton in 2014.

Dan – Vice President & COO

Dan is the veritable hub of Kelley Fuels, dispatching drivers, forecasting inventory and market activity, monitoring sites and literally keeping the wheels turning on our fleet. Dan has a degree in diesel mechanics and you can find him just as frequently under a truck as in the office. He has been a full-time presence at Kelley Fuels since 1997, and is a very active member of the Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Association (MPMA).

Val – Office Manager & CFO

If Dan keeps the wheels turning at Kelley Fuels, Val is in the background making sure the office and systems are in place to support the activity. She joined Kelley Fuels in 2006, oversees the office operations, IT, and the financial end of the business, as well as works closely with our Shell locations on programs and brand standards. Val holds an undergraduate degree in Management and Economics from Hamline University, and completed her MBA through the Hamline School of Business in 2012. She has been an active director of the National Association of Shell Marketers (NASM) for several years, including executive board positions of Treasurer in 2014 and Vice Chairman in 2015. Val is Chairman of the Board for 2016.
