Kimlin Energy Services was founded in 1982 by Douglas Kimlin as a small family-owned and –operated business. Back then, we were known as Kimlin Propane. We entered a very small market of propane companies in Ulster County. But Douglas Kimlin was determined to set us apart from the others by emphasizing friendly, personalized service. It worked; satisfied customers spread the word. Kimlin soon expanded service into neighborhoods in Dutchess and Orange counties.  But we kept our promise to keep business personal. Kimlin welcomed Douglas’s son Mark into the fold. Kimlin welcomed Douglas’ son Mark into the fold, and in 1988 took the helm of the company. During Mark’s management, the now-familiar Kimlin trucks began servicing Putnam, Greene, Columbia and Sullivan counties with the same friendliness and convenience that marked our beginnings.  Kimlin has never rested on its laurels; we always aim to do more for our customers. In recent years, our services have widened to include offering heating oil and commercial fuels, as well as service and maintenance for all fuel-related equipment.  Now celebrating our 35th anniversary of service to the Mid-Hudson Valley, Kimlin Energy Services remains committed to being a good neighbor who earns your business. We can keep that promise because our company remains family-owned and –operated: Day-to-day operations are now maintained by Max Kimlin, the grandson of founder Douglas Kimlin.
