Lake Norman Oil Company was founded in 1992 by President and Owner William F. Brawley (Bill).  Having been born and raised on a farm right here in Mooresville,   Bill learned at an early age the hard work needed to be successful in business today.   He has always worked with one basic principle in mind "Be there for your customers when they need you, not simply when it suits you."    Ask any of his loyal and long time customers, and you will find that price was one of the main reasons they first tried Lake Norman Oil Company, Inc.  But it is the prompt, friendly and reliable service that keeps them coming back.  It is knowing that you can get your products delivered when you need them, and not simply when its convenient for someone else.  Ask Bill and he will tell you, "The customer has enough to deal with without needing to worry if they can get service when they need it, or if fuel they ordered will arrive when promised"    It is this simple principle that has allowed Lake Norman Oil to grow year after year.  There is no substitute for service!

Bills oldest son, Doug, joined Lake Norman Oil full time in August of 2007.  Upon graduation from Appalachian State University, Doug joined the Winston-Salem Police Department where he served for over 21 years before retiring and returning home to join the family business.  His experience in Law Enforcement has taught him many valuable lessons.  As a department supervisor, Doug brings the operational or organizational skills needed to help further our companies growth.  Another important attribute Doug possesses is a sense of caring and understanding of people and the issues facing their business.  Doug will tell you, "You cant judge other peoples problems, concerns and attitudes simply based on your life experiences.  People all view things differently, its what makes us all unique.  Therefore, we must consider our customers concerns  one of our top priorities, because we are ultimately working for them."
