Our products are used to prevent the spread of contamination and reduce exposure in radioactive arenas such as nuclear power plants, Department of Energy cleanup sites and laboratory facilities, and naval shipyards.  With a 15,000 sq. ft. production, warehouse, and administrative facility in Kirkland, Washington, Lancs is the largest manufacturer of radiation and nuclear shielding products and protective clothing in North America. Lancs has produced over 80% of the lead blankets in use in nuclear power plants in the United States today. LEAD RADIATION SHIELDING

Lancs Industries has over 20 years of experience in the direct manufacturing of radiation shielding. Our production and operational expertise extends to the many different shielding situations an operator or technician will encounter. From small local site shielding projects to large scale refueling outages, we can advise on the best materials to use and can manufacture any configuration for lead blankets to best address your requirements. Lancs has manufactured over 80% of the lead wool blankets in use in nuclear power plants in the United States today.

RADIATION PROTECTION SUPPLIES AND ACCESSORIES

The external frame used to support a work tent is an integral part of the tent design. Spacing and location of frame pieces must be planned in a way to ensure a solid tent structure while avoiding interference with tent access or service features.  Lancs uses 1 inch Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe to fabricate tent frame pieces. Frame members are joined with fittings made of ASTM A47 Grade 32510 heavy duty cast iron. Pipe and fittings are custom made to accommodate any necessary shape and angle.  Tie-offs are heat sealed to the exterior of tent walls at points running along frame positions. Nylon tie wraps are commonly used to fasten a tent to its frame.
