On December 4, 2015, MPLX LP (NYSE: MPLX) and MarkWest Energy Partners closed on their previously announced merger and MarkWest is now a wholly owned subsidiary of MPLX.
MarkWest is engaged in the gathering, processing, and transportation of natural gas; the transportation, fractionation, storage and marketing of NGLs; and the gathering and transportation of crude oil.
